Anonymous reporting

How it works:

  • Administrator receives the report and start investigating
  • Additional information and proof gets collected (if any)
  • Whistleblower gets updated in actions to be made
  • Whistleblower receives a final report and decision
What is a whistleblower?A whistleblower is an employee who reports any illegal, unethical, or fraudulent activity that they have witnessed or become aware of in their workplace. For example, if an accountant at a company discovers that their employer is engaging in financial fraud or embezzlement, and they report this to the authorities or to the media, they would be considered a whistleblower.

Who is required by law to implement a whistleblower-software?Under EU law, companies with 50+ employees operating in the private sector or providing public services are required to have a digital whistleblower-reporting mechanism in place. This requirement was introduced in December 2021 with the aim of increasing transparency and accountability and protecting whistleblowers from retaliation. The software must enable whistleblowers to submit their reports anonymously, securely and confidentially, and must also provide a tracking system for follow-up and investigation. The EU's Whistleblower Protection Directive sets the minimum standards for the protection of whistleblowers across the European Union.

Denmark, Sweden and many other member states, already incorporated these standards into their national laws and implement the directive, which currently applies to companies with 250+ employees. By the end of year 2023, it is expected to apply companies with only 50+ employees.

Who can use Whistleblowerr™ as a platform?Whistleblowerr™, which is a whistleblower-software, can typically be used by any individual who wishes to report an incident of misconduct, fraud, or any other form of illegal or unethical behavior they have witnessed in their workplace or community. This can include employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders who have information to share.

Whistleblowerr™ is designed to provide a secure and confidential platform for whistleblowers to report their concerns without fear of retaliation. In some cases, the software may also be used by individuals outside of an organization, such as members of the public who wish to report corruption or other wrongdoing in government or other public institutions. Ultimately, the aim of the Whistleblowerr™ is to encourage individuals to speak up about wrongdoing and promote transparency and accountability.
